Logistics & Procurement Officer

Location: Douala Cameroon

Department: Service Delivery

Reporting to: Service Delivery Manager.

Purpose statement:

He/she will oversee the company’s logistics & procurement activities for domestic and foreign projects in accordance with the statutory and internal policies laid down while ensuring effective coordination of supply chain with local vendors as well as in-house customers.

Principal Accountabilities/Objectives

  • Ensure proper documentation for foreign shipments (Both Air & Sea )
  • Ensure Total Compliance with all regulatory bodies involved in logistics & procurement e.g. Customs, etc.
  • Enforce due diligence compliance for existing and prospective suppliers.
  • Monitor & Track shipments from origin to final destination.
  • Monitor quality, cost and efficiency of movement and storage of goods.
  • Provide logistics support to site engineers.
  • Involve in project planning in terms of costs/budgets.
  • Manage domestic transport operation in terms of safe delivery of equipment to various sites.
  • Analyse data to monitor performances and plan improvements of vendors.
  • Keeping & Manage monthly reports on shipments.
  • Warehouse and Store management.
  • Security, inventory management and reporting.

  • Proper understanding of Supply Chain Management Procedures

Educational/Professional Qualification & Must have technical Experience

  • 3 Year degree (BSc.) or National Diploma in Logistics & procurement/ commerce & Transport
  • Negotiation & Supply Chain Management
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Logistics officer in a Telecoms environment (essential).
  • 3-5 years related industry work experience
